Keep your highs when you roll back the volume.
This treble bleed circuit is designed specifically for use with 250k potentiometers, wired in series for players who prefer a slightly more aggressive taper. Best suited for single-coil guitars or lower-output setups, this mod helps preserve clarity as you roll the volume back — without thinning out your tone.
★ Component Specs
• Capacitor: Kemet Multilayer Ceramic (MLCC) – 100V 1200pF
• Resistor: Vishay Metal Film – 130KΩ 1%, 1/8W
• Wiring: Series configuration (resistor in-line with capacitor)
• Solder: Hand-soldered using Kester 44 Rosin Core 63/37 for clean, reliable connections — the same trusted solder used in our prewired kits.
★ What It Does
With traditional volume controls, turning down the knob also darkens the tone. This series-wired treble bleed circuit fights that effect by carefully shaping the high frequencies that pass through as the volume decreases, helping retain articulation and detail — without sounding shrill.
The result?
Better tone control across your volume range. Whether you’re backing off for rhythm parts or easing into a solo, your highs stay intact and your sound stays usable.
🛠️ Installed inline between the input and output lugs of the volume pot.
