Boys Like Girls - Gibson Headstock Break and Touchup 🎸🔧

This cherry red Gibson guitar from Boys Like Girls had seen better days before it landed on my bench. Someone attempted a DIY headstock repair by gluing it up, drilling a hole through it, and jamming in a dowel rod. (Spoiler: That’s not how you fix a broken headstock.)

To get it back in shape, I had to properly re-glue the break, reinforce the joint, and clean up their “repair” with some color-matched touch-up work. Now, it’s structurally solid, playable, and ready to rock again.
